Chermside Medical Centre provides an online ordering service for non urgent repeat prescriptions and referral letters. This will be a great time saving tool for you as you will not need to visit the surgery for a formal consultation. Submit your details online and the request will be forwarded to your regular GP. If the doctor is agreeable, the prescription or referral will be prepared ready for your collection upon payment of a fee.

An email will be sent upon registration and then once the request has been approved and carried out. If you don't receive second correspondence within 48 hours please call as there may be a problem with the internet service.

In most instances this will be done the same day however because your doctor may not work each day, we request 48 hours to process your request. If your doctor is not agreeable to performing the request, you will be asked to make a formal appointment.

This service is only for regular routine prescriptions/referrals that you have previously had prescribed/written here before and is noted on your computer record.  The following requests will not be authorised:

• pain killers
• opioids
• sleeping tablets
• antibiotics
• medications for acute medical problems

The fee for this service will be $13.25
