Dr Murphy graduated from the University of Queensland in 1990. She completed three years of residency at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, during which she had attachments at the Mater Mothers and Royal Children's Hospitals. Dr Murphy started full-time general practice in 1994 and attained her Fellowship of the Royal College of General Practitioners (FRCGP) in 1995. Dr Murphy is interested in all areas of health, particularly women's health, post-natal disorders, children's health and asthma. Dr Murphy is married and has two sons and a daughter.
