Dr Jones graduated from The University of Queensland in 1993. Since then he has worked at the Royal Brisbane, Royal Children's, Prince Charles and Emerald Hospitals. He has worked in General Practice since 1995, the most of this time in the capacity of Managing Director of Chermside Medical Centre. Dr Jones' medical interests include all areas of general medicine and recently has taken a step back from consulting to focus on running the business. His personal interests revolve largely around sport, playing Premier grade squash and soccer. He is the founder and representative of The Australian Medical Soccer Team which has competed overseas annually since 2002. He hosted the World Medical Football Championships in 2006 which was held on the Gold Coast.
