Karla has worked as a fully registered psychologist since 2000, providing treatment to adults and older adults experiencing a range of psychological conditions. Karla specialises in the treatment of:

  • anxiety disorders,
  • depressive disorders,
  • trauma,
  • and stress-related conditions.
  • Karla has worked in private practice for the past seven years.

Karla has also worked as a professional supervisor for the past six years assisting over twenty provisional psychologists obtain full registration, in addition, to supervising fully qualified psychologists and other allied health professionals.

Karla completed a Bachelor of Psychology with Honours at Griffith University, Gold Coast, in 1997, followed by a two year internship program in counselling and clinical psychology. In 2006, Karla completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in clinical and counselling psychological supervision from the Queensland University of Technology. Karla has also completed master- level training in seven subjects of clinical psychology (as part of continuing professional development) and participated in frequent clinical supervision for the past five years.

Karla is a full member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS), and the APS Counselling, and Clinical Colleges. Karla is registered with the Psychology Board of Australia.
